Lake Conway was recently drawn down one foot to 262.0 feet msl in accordance with the Lake Conway Water Level Management Plan. This drawdown is needed to minimize flood risk to Lake Conway’s adjacent landowners. The lake will be allowed to fill to normal pool (263.0 feet msl) on March 15.
The AGFC urges anglers and boaters to please be mindful of the lower water levels in these lakes, as more stumps are exposed and are closer to the surface. As usual, use the boat lanes when possible. Although they are not completely stump free, they are the path of least resistance.
