WATERTOWN, S.D. — Anglers are reminded to follow the fishing regulations in effect for the state in which they’re licensed when fishing Lake Traverse, Big Stone Lake and Lake Hendricks on the South Dakota/Minnesota border.
Changes in panfish regulations will be in place beginning Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, in South Dakota. Anglers fishing with a South Dakota license are reminded that both the daily and possession limit is 10 crappies, ten bluegills (or sunfish) and 15 yellow perch on waters bordered by both South Dakota and Minnesota.
For questions about South Dakota fishing regulations, check the 2011 South Dakota Fishing Handbook that is available at local retailers, or online at
or contact a local Conservation Officer.
